Chapter 1

Will student protesters disrupt Joe Biden’s re-election campaign?

Cover art for The Globalist

New York’s Columbia University was the focus of pro-Palestinian protests in the city until Tuesday, when police arrested dozens of people and removed the encampment that had been there for nearly two weeks. Protests are now escalating on the US west coast. Yesterday, administrators at the University of California cancelled classes after violence broke out between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian factions at an encampment on campus. With term soon ending, could this summer’s the Democratic Party conference in Chicago be the students’ next target?
