Reporter, BBC World ServiceGarcez has worked as a correspondent for the BBC World Service for eight years, covering topics ranging from US elections to the London bombings of July 2005. He began his journalism career working for the arts section of Folha de São Paulo, Brazil’s largest daily newspaper. Recently he has become a Knight International Journalism Fellow and leads a project aiming to build a network of journalists in rural Brazil to provide multimedia stories to mainstream Brazilian media.
