Defence Attaché, Embassy of Finland in LondonDuring his thirty-year career, Colonel Salminen has witnessed all aspects of the Finnish Defence Forces from basic training in various garrisons around the country to Defence Command in Helsinki. He has taught at the National Defence University, served in a Finnish contingency of UN peacekeepers in the former Yugoslavia in the mid-1990s and is a former Commander of Signal Regiment in Riihimäki. He began his post as the Defence Attaché at the Finnish embassy in London in August 2009.
