Jerk Malmsten has been running Malmstenbutiken since 1999. The shop stocks the classic and highly sought-after works of his late grandfather, Carl Malmsten - an influential Swedish furniture designer who focused on traditional craftsmanship - and select pieces by new designers. Jerk Malmsten also works on special projects with young designers who attend the design and craft schools that his grandfather established. The Malmsten shop has been at Strandvägen 5B in Stockholm since 1940.
