Based in Brussels, Ludewig is head of the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies, a lobbying group that works to create a sustainable and efficient rail transport network in Europe. Having served for over 20 years in Germany's economic ministry and the chancellor's office, Ludewig was also the CEO of Deutsche Bahn from 1997 to 1999.
