An expert on EU-Latin American relations, Gratius has a doctorate in
political science from the University of Hamburg. Before joining
Madrid-based international relations think tank FRIDE she was a researcher
at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) and has
also worked at both the Ibero-American Studies Institute in Hamburg.
