The Monocle Weekly

The Monocle Weekly

This week Edition 120 of the Monocle Weekly comes from our new studios at Midori House. We catch up with photographer Don McCullin at the opening of his exhibition at London's Imperial War Museum and then sit down with professor of international journalism John Owen in studio to talk about the future of war reporting. Then, we check in with our Beirut correspondent Carole Corm to get the buzz on the Lebanese capital before we head back out into the field with culture editor Rob Bound who chats with C21 Media's Jonathan Webdale to talk about what happened at this year's MIPCOM television conference in Cannes. We also reminisce about Pan Am, and hear from Monocle's Jonathan Openshaw about why some people can't stick to simple job titles. The track of choice this week is AneBrun's "Do You Remember" (Balloon Ranger Recordings).

Hosted by editor in chief Tyler Brûlé, The Monocle Weekly is a mix of smart discussion, previews, field reports and feature interviews. From our studio in London and our bureaux in Tokyo and New York, Monocle's editors focus on the stories shaping the week ahead.

Culture editor Robert Bound is a regular with his weekly playlist of artists established and obscure and editor Andrew Tuck is at hand to moderate debates and pull in contributions from our correspondents in far flung corners of the world.
