Preface

Last year, at the age of 28, Jigme Khesar ­Namgyel Wangchuck was crowned king of Bhutan in a lavish celebration in the capital Thimphu. The dress code? National costume, of course: royal decree makes it compulsory for Bhutanese to wear it on formal occasions. For men, that means a gho.
