The team travel to the Baltic and anchor this week's show from a leafy 'hood in Stockholm. They catch up with Monocle's correspondent in the region, Elna Nykänen Andersson, and Clemens Poellinger, columnist and senior culture editor at the Swedish daily Svenska Dagbladet, also joins them to debate the state of Nordic media and the future of the Swedish music industry. Meanwhile, Sofia Jannok stops by the studio en route to a festival on the Norwegian-Russian border to play her enchanting music that brings a contemporary edge to traditional Sami singing.

Hailing from Gällivare in the far north of Sweden, Sofia Jannok's Sami heritage is a key influence on her music but so too are contemporary styles. Her unique sound is as cosmopolitan as it is traditional. She began performing at the age of 11 and has since toured the world. Her music has been used widely for TV and film and she has released two albums, the latest being "Áššogáttis" (By the Embers) in January 2009, from which she performs a set of songs on this edition of the Summer Series.
