This week Tyler Brûlé and the team are joined by British news anchor Matt Barbet for a discussion on the state of the media industry, while across the studio Lissie performs an energetic set of live music from her album Catching A Tiger, which showcases her unique twist on folk, gospel, rock and pop styles.

  About the Monocle Summer Series

Born in Rock Island on the banks of the Mississippi, Lissie's musical talent was nurtured by the singing at her local Lutheran church and her grandfather, a former international barbershop quartet champion. Her debut album, Catching a Tiger, was released in June 2010, with tracks ranging from bluesy folk to unfettered pop.
