Run by Claire Damon, who cut her teeth working at the Plaza Athenée and with Pierre Hermé, this elegant pastry shop and bakery makes a trek to the far-flung fifteenth well worth the effort. Decorated by Yann Pennor in handsome black, with spots highlighting the pastries and baked goods like jewellery, this is the most exciting thing to happen to bread in the City of Lights for ages. Try their chorizo loaf, or the superb religieuse au caramel.
