The Monocle Winter Series

The Winter Series

The second instalment of the Monocle Winter Series brings together thoughts on music making, newspaper pages, architecture and design. Media "doctor" Mario García is back, this time in the studio, to plot the future of news consumption as we move into 2010 and beyond. Across the table, British designer Tara Bernerd reveals how good environmental design and architecture can influence people's mentalities for the better and the importance of differentiation in an increasingly saturated market. Tyler Brûlé chairs the proceedings with plenty of comment and debate from editor Andrew Tuck and culture editor Rob Bound. In the studio Swedish Grammy-winning artist Titiyo performs five breath-taking live tracks from her latest album.

Winner of four Swedish Grammys, Titiyo's sultry and haunting pop stylings have hit the charts throughout Europe, the UK and the US. In a career that has spanned more than two decades, her "Best of Titiyo" album was released in 2004 and the most recent album "Hidden" was released in Sweden in late 2008 and the rest of Europe in November 2009.
