Founded in Florida in 2005, the design and furniture fair has grown in recent years. It now hosts showcases in Paris, Basel and Shanghai and a new edition in Los Angeles will debut later this week. Last year it was acquired by Basic Space, a platform selling high-end, limited-edition fashion, furniture and more. Monocle’s US Editor, Chris Lord, meets Jesse Lee, founder of Basic Space and Design Miami’s owner.

The furniture shop and brand is known for its work with the world’s leading creatives and supplies the globe’s top architects with outstanding furniture and wares. To celebrate 60 years of the family-run business, Aram has launched a new gallery space in the basement of its London flagship. Its exhibition 'Now 4 Then' is curated by interior designer and gallerist Max Radford. He joins us, alongside Aram’s managing director, Daniel Aram.
