Continuing their stay in Tokyo, the team talk Japanese cuisine with food writer Mark Robinson, who shares his quest to find the finest tonkatsu dish in the city. Editor Andrew Tuck and Asia bureau chief Fiona Wilson join the culinary debate and bring talk of Michelin stars and specialist restaurants to the table. Editor in chief Tyler Brûlé spots a growing trend in Japanese organic farm restaurants, while things warm up across the studio with the Immigrant’s Bossa Band, who play us their unique blend of Brazilian-Japanese bossa tracks and teach our culture editor Robert Bound a thing or two about rhythm.

Named after the Immigrant's Café where they first met, Immigrant's Bossa Band was formed in May 2003 by vocalist Rei and percussionist NOBU. Over the following two years they were joined by Sugames on piano, LUIGI on bass and Tatsu on drums. They have released three albums ("Sustained Affection", "Message" and "Memory") and their vinyl "IMMIGRANT'S E.P.", released in 2007, reached the top of the charts in the famous Japanese record shop Dance Music Records. They describe their sound as mellow, funky, cool but hot, and in a jazzy Brazilian style.
